Based in Europe, this international non-profit organization monitors forests in nearly 40 countries to ensure that they are managed in a manner consistent with long-term preservation of hardwoods and other forest species. FSC is recognized by Rainforest Relief, the world’s largest organization dedicated to preserving the world’s rain forests.
